In suburbia, there is a special brand of boredom that breeds creativity. Growing up in the suburbs of Los Angeles, my siblings and I escaped that monotony through various creative "schemes," such as constructing makeshift carnival games in our backyard. We resembled the mischievous trio "Ed, Edd, and Eddy, and with them, I discovered a love for the adventures that form when escaping boredom.
Over time, societal and parental pressures drove me to pursue a "practical job" in mechanical engineering, hoping to continue my creative pursuits by still creating. However, it became evident that engineering wasn't my true calling. Struggling through my first year in junior college left me feeling lost.
It was my brother's advice that changed my path. He inspired me to explore a fresh creative path, to disregard my parents' expectations, and to cherish and utilize my creativity. It was through his guidance that I discovered graphic design, and I instantly fell in love with it. In design, I found my escape from the monotony of everyday life and embarked on my next grand scheme. To help others bring their imaginative ideas to life through design.
In my work, I strive to infuse all projects with the ingenuity and whimsy of my childhood schemes. My mission goes beyond just creating visually appealing work; it's about having fun while continually honing my craft, all while helping others do the same.
